KNOW THIS ONE GREAT THING
There are some good things in this world-
Look around and smile,
For the sun shines on us today.
The mountains glisten with snow,
Their reflection on the water.
Close your eyes and smell
Bread fresh from the oven,
Taste and savor smoked lox for your breakfast.
Think about a friend
And know that you are loved.
Even so we cannot long escape
The bad news of this world:
A child cries in hunger,
A woman huddles in fear,
A father looks for work,
A family buries its dead
While war continues on.
So know this one great thing,
Remember two things grand:
We have been forgiven,
This world will be made new.
