During the summer we have outdoor worship Sunday evenings, 5 to 7 p.m., at Ward Lake Park.

WE START AGAIN ON JUNE 1!

We call it Jacob's Altar, and we do it the first and third Sundays, June-August. We start with hot dogs and pot luck supper, then sing songs, then tell a story and finish with prayer.

Sunday morning worship is at 11 a.m. Come and see what God is doing! WORSHIP WILL BE AT 10 a.m. STARTING ON MAY 4

Children welcome in worship! We have a lively group of participants in our children's moments. Childcare is available.

We have a mix of contemporary and traditional music.

Our scripture lesson is frequently "storytold." That is, it is told from memory, as a story.

Pastor George Pasley delivers sermons that are well written and easy to understand.

Coffee hour follows worship every week.

EVERYBODY PARTICIPATES WHEN WE WORSHIP THE LORD!

A POEM by our pastor

PALM SUNDAY SNOW

Sin persists

There is blood spiled
upon the earth
and it has seeped deep
into life.

But on this Palm Sunday
fresh snow has fallen,
a reminder that God will cleanse
what we have spoiled.
Here and there
just the very tip
of new grass peeks through,
a reminder
that new heaven and new earth
are on their way.

Being reminded we make snowballs
shout ALLELUIA
Then go forth
to pray for peace
make justice
and practice love.
